TIG Welding
The heat generated melts the metal and is very controllable. Using this process it is possible to execute high quality welded joints, but the process requires scrupulously clean conditions and expensive consumable gas and materials. It is the favored method to weld Aluminium, stainless steel and chrome-moly in race applications, where the complete melting of the two pieces to be joined is essential.
